JOB TITLE: URBAN DESIGNER - HOMS STUDIO/SYRIA

Urban designer requires visualizing the effects of designs, great communication skills and the ability to understand and accept people's viewpoints which counter his own. A master's degree in urban design is sufficient to enter the urban planning field.

Urban designer will focus on investigating the best use for land in cities and neighborhoods. They solve problems related to increases in air pollution, high volume of traffic and urban sprawl. Before outlining plans for cities' improvements, urban designers conduct research, investigating the number of citizens using areas such as parks and highways, streets and sewers. Also, they understand how many people use the cities' schools, museums, malls and libraries. Urban designers need to participate in meetings with city leaders and citizens to gain feedback on what needs improvement. City planners present their plans to city officials, showing ways to improve neighborhoods, the best places for highways and the cost associated with making the changes.

Urban designer will work with the planning team and report tot he managing director on a  regular basis to insure that everything is going according to the general plan and requirements.
